Come and enjoy a peaceful 'away from it all' holiday at our family run
working hill farm. Our self-catering cottage is situated 3 miles from Cockermouth,
and ten miles from Keswick.
Jenkin Farm is a 170 acre working hill farm with Swaledale and Herdwick sheep,
and suckler cows with their calves.
Jenkin Farm cottage has a spectacular outlook over open countryside, with views
extending to the Solway Firth and the Scottish lowlands.
We are in an ideal situation for fell walking on the Buttermere and surrounding
fells, bird watching, and touring the Lakes by car. You can see all sorts of garden
birds, wildlife, red squirrels, and visit the osprey viewpoint at Bassenthwaite Lake.
The cottage is personally supervised, and has a cosy and homely atmosphere.
We are open all year, with long weekend and mid-week breaks available in the winter
months.
The cottage is registered with the English Tourist Board and Local Tourist Boards,
and has an English Tourism Council 4 star rating.
